TIM McCORMICK l   CO-FOUNDER

Tim McCormick is a former National Basketball Association player. McCormick was drafted with the 12th overall pick of the 1984 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He spent ten seasons in the NBA, playing with six different teams.

 

McCormick earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan (1980-1984), where he was a member of the Wolverines basketball team. Following his playing career, McCormick became an basketball analyst, author and motivational speaker. McCormick’s book, “Never Be Average”, focuses on the message of growth, based on his experiences as a professional athlete, consultant, and broadcaster. McCormick has created a proven game plan for success in the business world that focuses on the secrets that premiere athletes use to reach their highest goals and achieve career excellence.

 

Additionally, McCormick runs the NBA Players Association’s TOP 100 Basketball Camp for the elite 100 high school players in the nation.

MICHAEL DIETZ l   CO-FOUNDER

Michael Dietz is the President and Founder of Dietz Sports & Entertainment in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dietz founded Dietz Sports in 2003, after 17 years at Ilitch Holdings, Inc. with the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, Olympia Entertainment, Fox Theatre, and Little Caesars Enterprises. As President, Dietz directs the seven divisions of Dietz Sports.

 

Dietz earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration Cum Laude from Western Michigan University (1983), where he played basketball for the Broncos (1979-1983). During his senior year, Dietz served as the Broncos team captain and earned the honors of 1st Team Academic All-MAC. He was also a member of the Mid-American Conference Championship Team in 1981. In 1987, Dietz received his law degree from Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing. Dietz is highly involved in the community.

 

From 2016-2021 Dietz served on the Board of Directors at Oakland Hills Country Club. In 2021 He served as President and currently serves as the Chairman for future championships. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for CATCH (Caring Athletes Team for Children’s & Henry Ford Hospitals), a children’s charity that was founded by the late Sparky Anderson in 1987. Previously, Dietz served on the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl Organizing Committee and the Board of Directors of the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL). Dietz also held titles of Vice Chairman on the Sales and Marketing Committee of the PGA Championship and Assistant Vice Chairman on the Sales and Marketing Committee of the Ryder Cup.

ELLE HASSELL l   FOUNDATION DIRECTOR

Elle Hassell serves as the Director for the Michigan Elite 25 Foundation. She is responsible for the coordination and execution of the Michigan Elite 25 and Rising Stars Basketball Camps. In addition, Hassell coordinates all ME25 Foundation events throughout the year, such as educational seminars, basketball skills training sessions, youth camps, and foundation field trips. Hassell graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications.

TJ KELLY l   DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT

TJ Kelly serves as the Director of Recruitment for the Michigan Elite 25 Foundation. Kelly heads the scouting process across the entire State of Michigan. Kelly has been with the ME25 Foundation since its birth in 2013 and has been a major player in securing the best talent in the state.

Michael Massucci serves as the Director of Education for the Michigan Elite 25 Foundation. Massucci assists with securing guest speakers for the classroom components as well as preparation of the classroom activities.

GEORGE WARD l   DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL OPERATIONS

George Ward serves as one of the Directors of Basketball Operations for the Michigan Elite 25 Foundation. Ward assists with the preparation of on-court basketball skills and drills training.
